Photos from trip to South Carolina

Went back East to visit my mom and my sister in Greenville, South Carolina. Went on from there to visit the Smoky Mountains and then on to Charleston, SC and went on a ghostwalk in cemetaries and a dungeon, visited the Charleston Aquarium, and then went on to Fort Sumter.

Enjoy!

DMX Zone Magazine interview

I Just did an interview for DMX Zone online magazine. DMX Zone is a website that's all about using Macromedia Dreamweaver for website creation, and includes tutorials, extensions, books and F.A.Q.'s.

For a while now I've been wanting to do some timed-exposure photos of amusement rides at night. When I heard the L.A. County Fair was going to be happening, I decided to give it a go. I also shot timed exposures of crowds of people, which gives a strange ghost-like effect.

In addition, I got some photos of different county fair critters, as well as some of my first high speed sports photography, featuring racetrack horses.

Well, I finally updated the look of the site. I was getting tired of all that freaky green/blue color everywhere, and went for a very subtle grays look. If you don't like it, don't worry...I'll probably change it all again in a while.

It also bugged me that there was no art on the home page. Now there is.

Finished "Fire, Water, War and Peace".

Took longer than I had anticipated, as I got pretty crazy with some of the details. Had to get more RAM for my system too...kept getting "out of memory errors" thanks to the lines of monks and a kazillion bridge railings. 8)

The background photos of the mountains and the sky are shots I took from our backyard in Spring Creek, NV.

Finished "Platform 47".

Had a lot of fun with this one. This was inspired by those eerie refineries you see off in the distance, when you're driving home late at night on the freeway.

Lots of volumetric lights here to get more of a hazy look to the environment.
