Japanese Garden.

Well this is a little bit different than my usual Science Fiction and Fantasy stuff. This was my entry into Katachi's Japanese Nature contest.

It won 2nd place! Cool. The requirements were to use Katachi's DPInstantTree plugin for Cinema 4D to create some Japanese scenery. You had to include two different trees, two different flowers, and an area of grass, all created with the plugin. The trees I made were a flowering cherry (white flowers on right) and a wisteria (purple flowers background left). The flowers I made were water lillies (yellow foreground) and tiger lilliies (orange on left bank) .

There's also a pink azalea shrub on the right, and several ferns. Everything else was modeled in Cinema 4D. The bridge was modelled after the bridge at the Japanese garden at the Huntington Botanical Gardens here in Pasadena, CA. The sky is a photo I shot in Spring Creek, NV.

I'm actually a gardening freak, so this was a lot of fun.
