I started on it a couple months back, but I've only worked on it a bit here and there, which is why it took so long to finish.

        <![CDATA[<p>Added an article about some of the lighting I did for the Playstaion 3 game "Resistance: Fall of Man" by Insomniac Games, that shipped late last year.</p>

<p>Included are a number of images showing various game levels before being lit, and after. I think it shows what a big difference lighting makes, and how it affects the mood of the areas.</p>

<p>Hopefully it will be of interest if you're curious about some of the goings-on at a game company, and how the visuals progress from concept art to the final level.</p>

One is a really easy one on how to turn an internal drive into an external drive using a drive enclosure, and the other is on how to build your own computer.</p><p>I just finished building a new 64-bit system, and thought I'd take a bunch of photos as I went. We're in crunch mode now on <a target="_blank" title="R:FoM" href="http://www.insomniacgames.com/games/rfom.php#">Resistance:Fall of Man</a> and it's been long hours, but I'm happy with how the game is looking.</p><p>I did manage to make it to the L.A. zoo one Saturday to get some more photos. I bought the Sigma 50-500 tele zoom not long ago and wanted to try it out...it's pretty sweet.         <![CDATA[<p>Well I finally got off my ass and finished another image! &quot;The Shadow Hill Imps&quot; is a fantasy piece that was based on a photo I took while at Redwood National Park. I saw this cool looking root sticking out of the ground, with a dark area beneath it that almost looked like a cave.</p><p>I took a couple shots of it, and used it in this images as the background. The imps were modelled and rendered in Cinema 4D, and everything was composited in Photoshop.</p><p>Added to the Fantasy gallery. It was a fun piece to do.         <![CDATA[<p>The more astute of you may have noticed that it's been a few months since I've finished any new images. 8(</p><p>I've been putting in a lot of late hours at work on the game we're currently working on (that I'm not allowed to say much about.) I am allowed to say that:</p><p><strong>I'm a lighting artist at <a target="_blank" href="http://www.insomniacgames.com/index.php">Insomniac Games</a>.</strong></p><p><strong>I am currently lighting levels for our Playstation 3 title.</strong></p><p><strong>It is a First Person Shooter.</strong></p><p>That's all I can say for now.
